Our Virgin Organic "Sustainable" Red Palm Fruit Oil is cold-pressed and extracted from the meat of the Palm Fruit. The oil is semisolid at room temperature, red to dark orange in color. A Super Food in it's own right
Applications:
- Oil Adjunct (Extremely Rich in Taste and Flavor, used up to 10% Red Palm with other Edible Oils)
- Red Palm Fruit Oil used with African Shea butter when making Traditional African Black Soap
- Very high in natural nutrients of carotenoids (Vitamin A is derived from carotenes) and the antioxidant tocotrienols isomers (part of the Vitamin E family); Tocotrienols are natural compounds found in select vegetable oils including palm oil
- Organic Virgin Palm Oil is used in various traditional applications including baking, shortenings, deep frying. It is shelf stable with a high melting point and does not require hydrogenation while containing no trans fatty acids
- Food applications for Organic Virgin Palm Oil are baking, vegan butter substitute, spreads, antioxidant boost addition to smoothies and culinary dishes adding flavor to the dishes
- Crude Red Palm Oil intense red color comes from carotenes (alpha-carotene, beta-carotene and lycopene), the same nutrients that give tomatoes, carrots and other fruits and vegetables their rich red colors
